Become an Advocate for Land Conservation

The rolling hills, horse farms, intact woodlands and beautiful stream valleys of the Willistown area are under intense pressure from sprawl. Our goal is to protect an additional 5,000 acres of these critical natural and scenic resources in the next few years.

In order to accomplish this mission, it is imperative to have in our toolbox the best conservation tools possible. Many of these tools are based on the IRS tax incentives for conservation easements.  That is why your involvement and support as a Conservation Advocate is so important to our mission. I expect that this spring we will assist the Land Trust Alliance, in an effort to extend the tax incentives for conservation easements that are currently in place through 2007.

We will be contacting our list of interested advocates to help us press for these incentives.
